Code for validating email address in c
Is it just to make sure that the user inputs something other than rubbish? The only guaranteed way to test an email address is to send an email and see if it bounces. The result of sending an email to a badly formatted email address would be the same: it’ll get bounced. If you really want to do checking of email addresses right on the signup page, include a confirmation field so they have to type it twice. If you actually check the Google query I linked above, people have been writing (or trying to write) RFC-compliant regular expressions to parse email addresses for years. But what if I told you there were a way to determine whether or not an email is valid without resorting to regular expressions at all?
I have a registration form on my main website that is linked to shopify, so that when a user registers for a paid membership, they pay for it through shopify.Currently I have the following code to validate the first format. Also, please suggest a mechanism to validate the second format(address:port) also. ----------------------------- #define INVALID -1 #define VALID 0 int validate IP(char *ipadd) What is the best & fastest way of validating an IPv4 address?Basically, the input can be either in IPAddressv4 or IPAddressv4:portformat.What is the best & fastest way of validating an IPv4 address?Basically, the input can be either in IPAddressv4 or IPAddressv4:port format.
